The Starville proposal became necessary, as the Space Rush intensifies, Science is faced with the challenge of developing the innovations for A Sustainable Multiplanetary Life. With the most attention on Mars — As innovations progresses, building spacecrafts that satisfies both resource-effectiveness and environmental concerns nears realization.
We can unanimously agree that the past years have brought advanced improvements on Rocket and Space science – And humanity have, to an extent, conquered the Low Earth Orbit.
The next hassle reasonably presented itself as the need to colonize the outer space have been the most pressing challenge of the Space Rush. Mars is the most favored planet for a human invasion and subsequent colonization.
Tens of proposals have been made on how Martian Sustainability could be achieved. For the moment, Mars Direct and Mars To Stay are two of the leading proposals for an outlined cost effective human invasion and colonization of Mars.
We earlier published on the Challenges of Martian Sustainability and the solutions offered by Experts so far.
Now, noting the challenges posed by the Martian environment, and these proposals postulated by experts, especially Mars Direct and Mars to Stay , we can make contributions without harming any of the proposals.
So how could this be achieved? How far is science from being be able to develop a sustainable system for a human invasion of Mars?
In short, science have gone further than that. Outlines have been made by renowned Space Scientists and enthusiasts on how to achieve this.
To take it further, we hypothesized an ideal, Futuristic Mars Habitat/System – A sustainable system/enclave that can be assembled and launched into the Martian surface from Earth.
This predicted ideal system, termed “Star-Ville”, is predicted to be a form of Specialized Martian Human Ville/Habitat that will include the prerequisites of Earth-like living while being able to condole/contain the challenges of the Martian environment.
Starville: A Sustainable Human City In Mars
Though postulations have been made by both Mars Direct and Mars To Stay projects on developing Martian Habitats, we decided to go a step further by integrating real-life features, and also accommodating the differences shared by both proposals.
To sustain life in Mars, the Starville will integrate the solutions to the Terrestrial challenges of Mars, while allowing for the application of ISRU technology to explore and utilize the available Martian resources.
This futuristic Starville will be an advanced Simulation of an Earth-like system that will incorporate both Natural and Artificial necessities of our Ecosystem. A sustainable Meta-System with the features that can allow for;
- Reasonable Safety From Martian Atmospheric Radiation
- Specialized Martian Agro-Systems That Can Sustain Agro Activities on Mars
- Introduced Gravity Generator That Can Balance The Low Gravity of Mars
- Water Processing Facility that utilizes ISRU techniques
- Introduced Temperature Regulator
Any System that meets the above requisites will be qualified to sustain life in Mars for as long as it will take the first Mars Dwellers to conduct all the necessary researches and explorations.
The proposed Starville is an ideal Martian Habitat that will allow for not just human colonization, but also of plant adaptability experiments and Animal colonization as well. This will be achieved by the realization of specialized Martian Habitats that can accommodate both human and animal activities. These Habitats will be launched in bits from Earth, utilizing Radar Beacons in Spontaneity as each piece arrives.
Accommodation of multi terrestrial activities will be achieved by the development of exploration support kits for both Man and Animals. Trained animals could even be used for extensive exploration and research collections.
Martian grown plants have been demonstrated to be achievable by a number of researchers that subjected selected plants to a similar condition as Martian soil. Even, more could be achieved by utilizing specialized Agro Systems, we can be able to grow more plants and even trees in the red plant. The proposed Starville will have various annexes for the realization of this. Martian soil subjected to extensive treatment can be used to grow trees under specialized sheds to protect it from radiations.
These combined colonization of Mars by both man, animals and plants will enable experimentation and research in Realtime;
Safety from radiations for both man, animals and plants can be simultaneously realized by employing specialized radiation protectors for the respective parties. Anti-Radiation coats for Dwellers, specialized radiation covers for animals, Radiation-proof compartments for rearing and production, specialized oxygen support devices, flexibly expandable covers for trees and protected grow houses for lower plants – All these are accessories to be added to the already radiation-proof Starville System.
While some of the accessories is to facilitate mobility and exploration within Mars, the rest will serve as compliments to the sustainability of the Starville Spatial Ecosystem.
Having these resources in place while research work goes on the Laboratory will give researchers first hand details of the potential challenges of further human migration and how these challenges can be curbed, while also giving the Earth audience a first hand feel of what interplanetary life will be for, not just the astronauts, but for ordinary people, for the plants and for animals.
Starville will be a model human city in Mars. Developed to contain the Martian challenges in a way that will facilitate permanent Human Migration to Mars, while presenting both researchers and audiences with first hand view of Multiplanetary life in a Terrestrially Modelled Martian Habitat.
